Step 1:

Preparation: Cover your workspace with a silicone mat or plastic sheeting. Ensure your wooden board or canvas is clean, smooth, and level. Put on nitrile gloves and a respirator mask.

Step 2:

Mix Resin: Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for mixing resin and hardener, usually in a 1:1 ratio by volume. Mix thoroughly.

Step 3:

Color the Resin: Divide the mixed resin into smaller cups. Add pigment powders to each cup and mix well to achieve the desired shades of blue and white.

Step 4:

Pour Base Layer: Pour the darkest blue resin onto the canvas, covering about half of the surface. Next, pour the lighter blue resin, blending it into the darker blue to create a gradient effect.

Step 5:

Create Beach: Place sand, shells, or rocks at the edge of the lighter blue resin to create the shoreline. Pour clear resin over these elements to secure them.

Step 6:

Form Waves: Pour a thin line of white resin where the water meets the beach. Use a heat gun or hairdryer to gently push the white resin into the blue resin, creating a lacing effect that mimics waves.

Step 7:

Add Details: Repeat the process for additional waves. Add more layers of resin and pigment to build depth.

Step 8:

Cure and Finish: Allow the resin to cure for 24-48 hours. Use a torch to remove any remaining bubbles. Cover the piece to protect it from dust while it cures.
